There are some sites that I can really recommend and advise you to visit if you want to do some further reading on the topics that I presented.

Regarding the risks of hypertension:

The New Zealand Stroke Foundation gives excellent information and can also be an important source of support for people who have had a stroke or their familymembers.

The Australian Heart Foundation gives good information for patients who have heartproblems. this can be heart attacks, but also heart-pump failure, a common problem for people who have had longstanding hypertension is well discussed on their website.

Kidney Health New Zealand, formerly called the 'New Zealand Kidney Foundation' is an organisation caring for patients with kidney problems. They are not just focusing on high blood pressure, but a large number of patients that require dialysis have that because of their hypertension. The NZKF also stimulates and financially support scientific research in this area.
